Who We Are

An Emmy Award honors high-level achievement in the landscape of television.  A Tony Award acknowledges greatness in the world of live Broadway theater.  The gold standard for exceptional achievement in the music industry is a Grammy award.  And an Academy Award validates artistic creativity and technical merit in the arena of all-things cinema."

The Love Awards honors excellence in the ordinary and extraordinary individual whose life inspires, empowers and motivates others to live authentically.  It is the brainchild of Dianne Shorte and was initially created to launch her book, “Finding the Power to Change Your World.”  Her book features extraordinary women who motivated and encouraged others through their strength, courage, and personal successes.  After the book launch award show, Dianne decided to answer the call to honor women every year.  Men wanted to be recognized, so she created the M.O.V.E. Award (Men Operating Very Effectively).  Today, the Love Awards annually spotlights the ordinary and extraordinary women and men and give voice to many unsung heroes.

The Love Awards honorees range from homemakers to high-powered entrepreneurs and CEOs;  Hollywood set designers to small business owners, teachers, and single mothers.  These individuals elevate their families while contributing to their community, and in so doing, they positively impact the world.  Our unique awards cover Sisterhood, Inspiration, Wife of the Year, Amazing Millennial, Lifetime Community Arts, Man of the Year, Health & Fitness, Couple of the Year, and other rarely recognized categories.  The Love Award winners are nominated by their peers, colleagues, and family members.

Our mission is to uplift the community by infusing hope and inspiration through recognition.
